Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

These terms govern your use of TuneShed — the app, the waitlist, and the website at tuneshed.co. By using any part of TuneShed, you agree to these terms. They're written plainly because we'd rather you actually read them.

What TuneShed is

TuneShed is a mobile songwriting companion app. It helps hobbyist musicians organise their musical ideas and provides AI-generated questions through a feature called The Listener to help move creative work forward. TuneShed is not a co-writer and does not claim ownership of any music you create.

Your account

Your content

You own everything you create in TuneShed — your songs, recordings, lyrics, and ideas. We claim no rights over your creative work.

By uploading recordings, you grant TuneShed a limited licence to process that audio solely to generate The Listener's response. This licence ends when you delete the recording or your account.

Acceptable use

TuneShed is for personal, creative use. You agree not to:

The Listener — AI questions

The Listener generates questions using AI based on the audio and context you provide. These questions are for creative reflection — they are not professional music advice. The quality and relevance of questions may vary. We're always working to improve them.

AI-generated content is not the work of a human collaborator and should not be represented as such.

Free tier and subscriptions

Service availability

We aim to keep TuneShed running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally take the service offline for maintenance or updates. We're not liable for any inconvenience this causes.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using TuneShed and delete your account at any time — no hard feelings.

Limitation of liability

TuneShed is provided as-is. We're not liable for lost data, creative work, or any indirect damages arising from use of the app. Always back up work you care about.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use of TuneShed after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
